This unit is pretty small. 1/3 cup of water is about max. It fits the hand nicely and the bent neck gets your face away from the flame. The double bubble design under the neck catches the water well. I’ve hit this as hard as I could and a couple sprinkles made it an inch or so up the neck. Typically this size unit takes a certain touch. Cleaning is easy, nothing to really clog up with ash bits. The diffuser has large holes. Just run sink water full blast down the neck for a couple seconds. Ash catchers will tip this over. Expect to use this as is with no catch. I rate the build as medium quality. The bowl mount is angled out a degree or so and where the mount was welded to the housing, the glass is hazy. The pictures show the bowl mount clear and straight. It is also quite thin. I have several china glass pieces and they are twice as thick. Shipping was 2 days past the original date and 2 days before the adjusted date. Still pretty fast. The piece was wrapped about 10 times with bubble wrap and packed tightly. I rated this 4 stars specifically for the great design. You won’t find a piece this small that can be hit as hard as you like. Handle with care.
