I picked this up because I’m always interested to see different takes on an existing technology. The machining is exquisite, which with the price tag I would hope it was. The quarter turn opening works great, and as long as you grind clockwise nothing comes apart. The removable screen design worries me as that hex bolt head is going to get filled with kief over time, making extraction more difficult, though I absolutely applaud the extra effort to make the screen properly removable. The grinding itself isn’t the smoothest in the world, I’d put it at a solid above average. The main issue is, I vape almost exclusively so I’m typically looking for med/fine grind and this produces a coarse grind. Even flipping the grinder upside down for grinding to emulate the behavior of a two piece was at best looking at a medium grind. If you do jays or smoke bowls this is probably perfect, but for vapes I found myself wanting it a bit finer.
